Responsibilities
- Safely operate delivery vehicles, including vans and trucks, while adhering to all traffic laws and regulations.
- Load and unload products using appropriate equipment.
- Navigate routes efficiently to ensure timely deliveries while maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction.
- Perform routine vehicle inspections and maintenance checks to ensure safety and reliability.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers regarding delivery status and any potential issues.
- Handle heavy lifting and moving of packages as required during deliveries.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including tracking shipment details and obtaining necessary signatures.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Delivery Driver or in a similar role is preferred.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; experience with manual transmission is a plus.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting (up to 50 pounds) regularly throughout the day.
- Familiarity with route driving and navigation tools or apps.
- Experience operating commercial vehicles is highly desirable.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage time effectively.
- Excellent communication skills and a customer-focused attitude.
