Forklift Operator Hiring 3rd Shift

Responsibilities :

Operate a forklift safely and efficiently. Operates wrapping equipment when necessary. Keeps stock and materials in orderly fashion.

Unloads and loads goods / products on trucks.

Documents materials unloaded and taken off trucks to the correct location.

Works as a member of the Shipping / Warehouse Department to achieve the best quality results.

Responsible for pulling job for production, inbound forms, inventory tags and counts on materials received or shipped.

Assists other shipping and receiving material handlers to balance the workload, organize warehouses and perform general cleaning.

May be required to lift up to 30 lbs. for a period of up to 12 hours.

Follows rules and procedures relative to the safe and efficient operation of the forklift, also including reporting any missing, broken, bent or worn parts of forklift to supervisor and / or maintenance.

Drives backwards with high load for proper visibility.

Alert to any obvious defects of incoming material. Questionable units will be set aside for further inspection.

Stacks carefully in warehouse to prevent product damage.

Adheres to all safety and work rules, company policies and procedure.

Other duties, responsibilities and activities may change or be assigned at any time with or without notice.

Basic Qualifications :

At least 6 months prior experience operating a finger controlled electric forklift

Be passionate about maintaining a safe work environment. Able to pass pre-employment background check and drug test. Must be able to sit, stoop, and bend.

Ability to work any shift, including overtime and weekends as needed. Must be authorized to work in the U.S.

Ability to work in manufacturing environment, with varying temperatures based on season, around machinery, and heavy forklift traffic.

Ability to obtain and maintain PCA certified forklift license.

Preferred Qualifications :

High school diploma / GED.

Experience operating a forklift in a production, assembly, pick / pack work environment.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities :

Ability to work in a fast paced environment and handle multiple requests simultaneously. Ability to work independently and within a team, effectively communicating with members.
