Responsibilities:
- Work as part of a team in support of a manufacturing operation to increase productivity; and decrease downtime and waste
- Assume an active role in overall plant and facilities-related work. The position requires assisting with all jobs on the plant floor
- Follow all company safety rules and lock-out tag-out procedures
- Other duties as assigned
Basic Qualifications:
- High School Graduate or GED
- Be passionate about maintaining a safe work environment
- Able to pass pre-employment tests
- Must be able to sit, stoop, and bend continuously
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs. consistently during the scheduled work hours
- Must be able to work overtime and weekends as needed
- Understand that temperatures and volume of work may vary
Knowledge. Skills & Abilities:
- Be willing to work closely on a day-to-day basis with other production personnel
- Ability to share ideas with others to solve problems of essential importance
- Strong verbal communication skills
- Thrive in a cross-functional team environment
- Work with a sense of urgency to reduce the downtime of machines
