Job Title: Machine Operator (Plastic and Foam Pressing)
Job Overview: We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Machine Operator to join our production team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating machinery that presses plastic and foam onto dies, ensuring the products are formed accurately and efficiently. After the pressing process, you will be tasked with placing the finished items into boxes and preparing them for shipment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate and monitor machines that press plastic and foam materials onto dies.
- Ensure that materials are loaded into the machines accurately and in the proper quantities.
- Inspect products for defects or quality issues during the pressing process and adjust machine settings as necessary.
- Safely remove finished items from the machine and prepare them for packaging.
- Package products according to company standards, ensuring all items are securely boxed and labeled.
- Perform routine maintenance checks on machines to ensure proper functioning and minimize downtime.
- Follow all safety protocols and procedures, ensuring a clean and safe working environment.
- Assist in maintaining inventory of raw materials and finished products.
- Report any machine malfunctions or safety concerns to the supervisor promptly.
- Maintain accurate records of production and packaging activities.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in machine operation, particularly in a manufacturing or production environment, is preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to detect product defects.
- Ability to follow instructions and standard operating procedures.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
- Basic understanding of machine maintenance and troubleshooting.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.
- Good communication skills.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks.
- Ability to work in a noisy environment and wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
Shift: 7:00AM - 3:30PM Monday - Friday
