About the Role
The Travel and Expense Accounting Associate is responsible for overseeing the travel and expense processes within the organization. This includes managing the corporate travel program, ensuring compliance with company policies, optimizing travel-related expenses, and providing support to employees for travel and expense-related issues. The role requires a detail-oriented professional with strong analytical skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
What You’ll Do
- Travel Program Management:
- Implement and maintain the corporate travel policy.
- Monitor and analyze travel trends and expenditures to identify cost-saving opportunities.
- Ensure compliance with travel policies and procedures.
- Expense Management:
- Communicate with Employees on missing or incorrect information on expenses.
- Ensure timely and accurate reimbursement of employee expenses.
- Conduct audits of travel and expense reports to ensure compliance with company policies and identify any discrepancies or fraudulent activities.
- Provide training and support to employees on the use of the expense reporting system and travel policies.
- Data Analysis and Reporting:
- Generate and analyze travel and expense reports to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for cost reduction.
- Prepare regular reports for management, highlighting key metrics and performance indicators related to travel and expenses.
- Policy Development and Compliance:
- Update and maintain travel and expense policies and procedures to reflect changes in regulations and company objectives.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant local, national, and international regulations related to travel and expenses.
- Address and resolve any issues or discrepancies related to travel and expenses in a timely manner.
What You’ll Bring
- Education:
- Preferred Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Experience:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in travel and expense management, finance, or a related field.
- Experience with expense management software and travel booking systems.
- Experience with Navan is a plus
- Skills:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
- Other Requirements:
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong understanding of corporate travel and expense policies.
- Experience with managing vendor relationships and contract negotiations.

What We Offer
The salary range for this role is 48,000- 52,000 USD; however, Packsize considers several factors when determining compensation when extending a job offer, including but not limited to, the role being offered, the associated responsibilities, the candidate's prior work experience, education/training, and any special skills.
