About the Role:
The Assistant General Counsel will play a pivotal role in overseeing the companys legal affairs, providing strategic legal advice, and partnering with the Chief Legal Officer in managing the legal department. This position requires a seasoned legal professional with extensive experience in corporate law, regulatory compliance, and risk management. The Assistant Counsel will collaborate with various departments to ensure legal alignment with business objectives and will contribute to the development and execution of legal strategies that support the company's goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the Chief Legal Officer in managing the legal department and overseeing all legal matters affecting the company.
- Provide expert legal and commercial advice and guidance on a wide range of issues, including corporate governance, mergers and acquisitions, commercial transactions, intellectual property, domestic and international employment law, and litigation.
- Develop and implement legal strategies that align with the company's business objectives and mitigate legal risks.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations, maintaining up-to-date knowledge of industry-specific legal and regulatory requirements.
- Diligently prepare, review, and negotiate complex commercial agreements.
- Manage relationships with external legal counsel and coordinate the efficient use of legal services as needed.
- Lead and mentor the legal team, fostering professional growth and development.
- Collaborate with senior management and other departments to provide proactive legal support and guidance.
- Support the Chief Legal Officer in board and committee meetings, including preparing materials and advising on legal matters.
- Participate in strategic planning and decision-making processes as a key member of the leadership team.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from a top-tier law school.
- At least 10 years of legal experience, with significant experience at a top-tier law firm and/or corporate legal department within enterprise-level private and public companies.
- Proven track record in managing complex legal matters and providing strategic legal advice.
- Strong knowledge of corporate law and governance, regulatory compliance, and risk management.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated leadership skills managing a team and fostering the development of talented professionals.
- Ability to work collaboratively across departments and with senior management.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple highly-complex, time-intensive projects in a fast-paced environment with minimal support.
- High ethical standards and a commitment to integrity.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with technology companies.
- Previous experience in a senior legal role with management responsibilities.
- Experience with international legal issues and transactions, public company reporting, and large corporate transactions.

Salary and Benefits:
The salary range for this role is $250,000 Base USD Bonus; however, Packsize considers several factors when determining compensation when extending a job offer, including but not limited to, the role being offered, the associated responsibilities, the candidate's prior work experience, education/training, and any special skills.
