About The Role
As the Master Scheduler at Packsize, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of the company's production planning processes. You will be responsible for coordinating and optimizing production schedules, ensuring timely delivery of products, and help to maintain an optimal inventory level. Your goal will be to maximize efficiency, minimize costs, and meet customer demands while adhering to quality standards and production targets.
What You’ll Do
- Production Planning: Develop and implement production plans, schedules, and strategies to meet customer demands and optimize resource utilization.
- Capacity Management: Assess production capacity and capabilities, considering factors such as machinery and tools, labor, and materials, to ensure production targets are met efficiently.
- Inventory Management: Monitor inventory levels and collaborate with procurement, finance, and supply chain teams to maintain optimal stock levels while minimizing carrying costs and production downtime.
- Order Fulfillment: Coordinate with sales, operations, and production teams to ensure on-time delivery of customer orders, resolving any potential conflicts or delays.
- Data Analysis: Analyze production data, key performance indicators (KPIs), and production metrics to identify trends, bottlenecks, and areas for improvement in the production planning process.
- Continuous Improvement: Drive continuous improvement initiatives by identifying process inefficiencies, proposing and implementing solutions, and optimizing production planning procedures.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with various teams, including production, engineering, procurement, quality assurance, finance, and global business operations units, to ensure effective communication and alignment of production planning activities.
- Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate and up-to-date production planning records, generate reports, and communicate production status, issues, and risks to relevant stakeholders.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, operations management, industrial engineering, or a related field. Relevant certifications or advanced degrees are a plus.
- Experience: At least 5 years of experience in production planning, capacity management, or a related role in a manufacturing or technology company.
- Strong Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze data, interpret trends, and make data-driven decisions to optimize production planning processes.
- Excellent Organizational Skills: Proven ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize work effectively, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Communication and Collaboration: Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively across different global teams, build relationships, and influence stakeholders.
- Proficiency in software and systems: Experience working with enterprise resource planning systems (ex. SAP) for production planning and inventory management.
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing Principles: Familiarity with lean manufacturing concepts and methodologies such as Six Sigma, Kanban, or Just-in-Time (JIT) production.
- Attention to Detail: Meticulous approach to work, ensuring accuracy in planning, data analysis, and documentation.
- Adaptability: Ability to adapt to changing priorities, production demands, and market dynamics while maintaining composure and meeting targets.
