PackYak is an eCommerce order fulfillment company for online retailers and eCommerce businesses. We were founded in Salt Lake City, Utah and we’re seeking the best and brightest to be a part of our growing operation!
We are currently hiring an Assistant Warehouse Manager to oversee our Inbound Department, assist with daily operations, and work closely with our Warehouse Manager. The ideal candidate for this role will have strong experience in inventory management, forklift certification or experience, supervisory experience, and the ability to work as part of a team and contribute to organizational goals. One 8AM - 12PM Saturday shift per month is required for this role, and preference will be given to candidates that have additional Saturday availability.
This role will be primarily responsible for the Inbound Department at PackYak which involves ensuring that all products are checked in according to SLAs, maintaining an accurate and organized inventory of all products in the warehouse, implementing inventory control processes, helping to open and close the facility as needed, overseeing the processing of returns, and managing the restocking of inventory among other things.
Responsibilities:
- Keeping an inventory of all merchandise entering or exiting the warehouse with a small team of employees that will report to you.
- Receiving, processing, and organizing stock.
- Overseeing the processing of returned orders and restocking inventory.
- Implementing and maintaining processes to ensure accurate inventory throughout the warehouse.
- Preserve a safe and clean work environment by keeping shelves, pallet areas, and workstations neat.
- Oversee the overall daily operations as needed.
Requirements:
- Prior experience working in a warehouse with supervisory experience.
- Prior inventory management background 2 years preferred.
- Ability to operate a forklift
- Ability to work on feet for 8 hours and carry loads up to 60 pounds.
- Ability to work independently and safely.
- Proficient computer skills.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Ability to work at least one Saturday shift per month.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: From $24.00 per hour
