Job Overview:

The PackYak Fulfillment Specialist I is an at-will employee that is part of the warehousing and fulfillment team. This position primarily consists of 1) ensuring all outbound fulfillment orders are accurately and efficiently shipped out each day, and 2) assisting with receiving and processing inventory and freight shipments. The job entails assigning orders to individual totes, utilizing scanners for proper order picking, following proper packaging and handling instructions, and generating shipping labels for finished packages to be picked up by the shipping carrier. In addition to order picking and packaging, this position also entails performing inventory counts, receiving incoming freight, loading trucks with packages, and other general warehousing duties. This job operates in a warehouse environment. This role routinely uses equipment such as computers, iPads, barcode scanners, boxes, shipping mailers, tape, boxcutters, and printers. The employee is occasionally exposed to loud noises from the warehouse and physically strenuous workloads.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Following proper picking and packaging procedures to ensure full order accuracy
• Electronically verify accuracy of orders with WMS system
• Properly use boxes, shipping mailers, and other materials to package orders
• Utilize shipping system to generate shipping labels
• Sort packages by designated shipping carriers for pick up
• Receive product and prepare for outbound pick and pack
• Inspect the inventory and isolate the defective products
• Actively participating and contributing on ways to optimize warehousing procedures
• Maintain a clean, organized, and clear workplace
• Adhere to all safety and compliance measures and follow the rules and regulations of the workplace
• Assist with special projects and general warehousing as needed

Qualifications:

• Must be at least 18 years of age
• 1 year warehouse or fulfillment experience preferred but not required
• Strong attention to detail
• Self-motivated and goal orientated
• Ability to lift 50 lbs and stand on feet for the entire shift
• Ability to walk, stand, bend, push/pull for extended hours with a sense of urgency
• Experience with pallet jacks, forklifts, and power lifts preferred but not required
• Reliable transportation or ability to be punctual
• Work Remotely No

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $17.00 - $22.00 per hour

Expected hours: 35 – 40 per week
