Description
Position Summary:
Process customized orders for the spray dry department. Correctly navigate start up, shut down, and process changes of the spray dry system to make produce an ‘in spec’ product. Ensure proper policies and procedures are followed.
Responsibilities:
· Carry out assigned tasks to ensure smooth and consistent operation of the spray dryer
· Uphold daily production goals and expectations.
· Inspects finished product to ensure production quality.
Environmental Conditions
· Conditions include exposure to constant or intermittent noise. Ear plugs are required. In addition, there is exposure to conditions such as dusts, chemicals, and allergens that can affect the respiratory system, eyes or, the skin. Safety gear including hard hats are required for bump protection and to prevent exposure to potential contaminants.
Important Relationships
· Communication and collaboration daily with co-workers, team leads, and shift supervisors.
· Works with a culturally diverse work force.
Requirements
Qualifications:
· At least 6 months of food production experience
· Mechanical aptitude
· Ability to read and interpret customized orders, standard operating procedures, policies and procedures.
