Scope of Work :
The Senior Track Engineer will provide professional engineering services to support the Department of Track and Structures (TRST) in maintaining State of Good Repair (SOGR) tasks. This position involves designing, reviewing, and implementing engineering solutions for track infrastructure projects, including signaling systems and civil / structural components.
Key Responsibilities :
- Develop and review engineering plans, designs, and technical specifications for track and structure maintenance and rehabilitation.
- Perform site inspections to assess track conditions, ensuring compliance with WMATA standards and safety requirements.
- Collaborate with signaling systems and structural teams to coordinate multidisciplinary project efforts.
- Support the development of schedules, cost estimates, and risk analyses for SOGR projects.
- Prepare reports and recommendations based on field data and analysis.
