Job Opening : Dietary Aide
Status : Part time
Location : 4650 Hoen Ave. Santa Rosa, CA
Shift : 11 : 30am to 8 : 00pm, Saturday through Wednesday (Thursday / Friday off)
We are currently seeking a dedicated and reliable Dietary Aide to join our team! This position plays a crucial role in ensuring that our kitchen runs smoothly and efficiently while maintaining the highest standards of food safety and sanitation.
General Purpose :
The Dietary Aide will be responsible for various food service duties, including setting up meal trays, assisting with serving meals, washing dishes, and maintaining cleanliness in the kitchen. The position requires the ability to quickly learn food service routines and adapt to shift demands.
Key Responsibilities :
- Meal Preparation : Set up meal trays and assist with serving different meals.
- Dishwashing : Strip down returned trays, operate the dishwasher, and check chlorine concentration and water temperatures at the start of the shift.
- Sanitation : Clean work surfaces, floors, refrigerators, and other kitchen equipment. Sweep, mop, and maintain cleanliness throughout the kitchen.
- Food Handling : Prepare snacks and nourishments as directed.
- Stocking and Organizing : Safely store groceries and supplies in an organized and sanitary manner.
- Waste Management : Carry out trash and garbage.
- Team Support : Assist the cook and dietary supervisor with various tasks as needed and participate in ongoing staff training and orientation.
- Collaboration : Work cooperatively and harmoniously with team members across all departments.
Qualifications :
Ability to read technical procedures and follow recipes.
Ability to stand, walk, and engage in physical activities for extended periods.
