Key Responsibilities :

  • Assess patient dietary needs and preferences, ensuring meals align with individual health plans.
  • Monitor food intake, maintaining accurate records for residents.
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to implement nutritional plans and interventions.
  • Provide excellent customer service to residents and staff, addressing concerns or dietary needs promptly.
  • Educate residents and staff on proper nutrition, as needed, to enhance overall health and wellness.
  • Ensure compliance with dietary regulations and safety standards in a long-term care setting.

Qualifications :

  • Registered Dietetic Technician (DTR) or equivalent certification.
  • Experience with specialized diets (e.g., diabetic, renal, etc.).
  • Experience in a long-term care, hospital, or healthcare setting preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of food safety, nutrition standards, and dietary guidelines.
  • Compassionate, empathetic, and patient-focused approach to care.
  • Additional Skills (preferred but not required) :

  • Proficiency with dietary software or electronic health records (EHR) systems.
