Property Tax Clerk

The Property Tax Clerk will provide support to the Property Tax Manager and the tax team. This role requires basic math and accounting skills, as well as proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Teams, and Outlook. The Property Tax Clerk will be responsible for researching property tax-related issues, reading, evaluating, and scanning documents to determine proper filing locations, and entering data into the company’s property tax software and complex Excel spreadsheets. The role also involves reading and understanding property tax documents (such as tax bills, tax notices, letters, and appeals), communicating with counties nationwide for property tax information, address changes, and copies of tax bills, and examining reports and tax bills for accuracy. An understanding of basic Excel formulas is required, and the ability to create Excel formulas is a plus. The ability to work remotely with minimal supervision is essential.

Responsibilities

• Provide support to the Property Tax Manager and tax team.
• Research property tax-related issues.

Compensation

• Hourly wage: $18/hour.
• Part-time position up to 20 hours per week (expectation of a 4-hour block of time per day during regular business hours).
• Position will be remote, with potential expectations to attend meetings at the PACS office monthly
