Job Summary
We are seeking a certified nursing assistant to assist residents with exercise and daily activities, promoting mobility and independence. The ideal candidate will have experience in long term care facilities and be certified as a CNA.
Responsibilities:
- Assist residents with transfers, ambulation, and range of motion exercises
- Provide clean clothing and linens to residents
- Assist with bathing and dressing, including skin care and oral hygiene
- Change positions of residents to prevent skin care issues
- Report significant findings or changes in condition to the Charge Nurse and Director of Nursing
- Assist with elimination, including emptying catheter bags and sanitizing bedpans
- Provide pressure relieving devices and skin protective measures
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification
- Restorative Aide Training
- CPR certification
- One year experience in a long term care facility preferred
Physical Demands:
- Standing and/or walking very frequently
- Sitting occasionally
- Lifting up to 50 pounds frequently
Work Environment:
- Low to moderate noise level
