Position Title: Camps Supply Lead

Pay Rate: $22.30/hr
Position Summary
The Camps Supply Lead will assist the Supply Supervisor in ensuring summer camp programming runs smoothly by inventorying, organizing, maintaining, and distributing camp supplies and assisting with overall operations for all camp locations. This position assists with purchasing by tracking, recording, and communicating supply needs, as well as leading a team of Supply Assistants. The Camps Supply Lead will also assist with preparing for the summer season prior to the start of camps.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Ensure camps supply needs are met by:
Assist Supply Supervisor with supply inventory, communication, recording, and tracking purchases
Monitor and maintain supply systems across all camp sites, including physical storage as well as online databases and resources
Oversee and maintain the efficient organization and cleanliness of work and storage spaces, including the distribution of camp materials for both on and off-site locations
Coordinate supply preparation and distribution and lead transportation of supplies to various offsite locations, including the set up and tear down of camp locations
Direct the daily workflow of a small supply team to accomplish short-term and long-term tasks
Assist camp admin with daily camp operations including supporting program staff, communicating with relevant Pacific Science Center departments, and implementation of all policies and procedures
Communicating supply needs and changes with other camp staff, both on and offsite
Assist with camper supervision when necessary, including during staff breaks, prep time, and drop off/pick up
Other duties as assigned

Knowledge of (or the ability to learn):
Inventory and receiving practices, purchasing practices preferred
The ability to learn basic science knowledge
OSHA safety best practices
Customer service best practices
Leading the flow of various ongoing projects

Work on present projects while simultaneously being proactive and plan ahead
Comply with all camp procedures including all health and safety policies and supporting campers and others in the camp space with doing the same
Maintain security and follow safety procedures
Qualifications
Required
Demonstrated ability to prioritize and respond to camp issues the arise throughout the day
At least 21 years of age at the start of camp
First Aid/AED/CPR certification or willingness to obtain
WA State Food Handlers permit or willingness to obtain
WA driver’s license and good driving record with at least 5 years of driving history, including no moving violations in the past 3 years
Preferred
Associate degree (or in pursuit of), or equivalent experience
Bachelor's degree (or in pursuit of)
Informal education experience
Supervisory experience
Past summer camp experience
Project management skills
Availability from early June through early September
Working Conditions
This is a temporary, full-time summer position that begins before the start of camps
This position requires driving a 15-passanger van for supply trips and assuming responsibility of the safety and security of all passengers
Due to a variety of camps and locations, hours can vary, typically totaling 40 hours per week from Early June through early September
Some camps are full day while others are half day only, this position remains full-time
A uniform T-Shirt is provided and required to be worn while on the job
This position requires lifting (50 lbs. unassisted, program materials & supplies)
