What are the responsibilities and job description for the Cups Operator position at Pactiv Evergreen - North America?
**Job Description: **
Reads and understands job jackets to insure correct materials are being used and ready for each job.
Feeds and maintains operation of machine and makes minor adjustments per written procedures.
Checks quality of WIP consistently and sorts out bad WIP. Notifies Operator of wrinkled stock, excessive offset or haze, ink spots, misregister, or excessive scrap. Recognizes all forming defects and reports these to the Cup Operator.
Starts machines, maintains and clears jams.
Makes bottom stock splices, inspects cups after splice is made, records usage of bottom roll stock.
Measures WIP pallets and records counter readings.
May possible relieve Packers as necessary for breaks.
Applies appropriate lockout/tag out procedures as necessary.
Is responsible for using safety interlock system and keys.
