What are the responsibilities and job description for the Electro Mechanical Technician position at Pactiv Evergreen - North America?
Responsibilities:
- Supervise the operation of machinery.
- Ensure that all JSAs for the hotpress, printers, and ovens are followed.
- Follow safety, quality, and production procedures.
- Ensure that the hot-press, printer, and oven are in working order.
- Assemble, disassemble, repair, and adjust machines when necessary.
- Welding when necessary.
- Monitor, adjust, and maintain hydraulics in feed cylinders, backstops, conveyors, lines, traps, bearing drives, and conveyors.
- Construct spare parts.
- Journal events and handle any safety concerns or hazards.
- Keep an eye on the flo-co consistency.
- Maintain consistent, proactive communication with operators and management.
- Read and interpret blueprints.
- Maintain company housekeeping standards.
- Guarantee that policies and procedures are followed.
- Maintain safety and attendance records.
- Verify the plant's objectives are met.
Qualifications:
- Physically capable of carrying out the basic job responsibilities
- Standing, lifting up to 50 pounds.
- Work in a hot/cold environment.
- Work on a flexible schedule that includes weekends, holidays, and overtime.
- 3 years in a manufacturing environment with a track record of success
- SIMMS is a program that you are familiar with.
- Lock Out/Tag Out Procedures
- Standard operating procedures should be followed.
You should be proficient in:
- Blueprint Reading
- PLC Troubleshooting Skills
- Creating Preventive Maintenance Plans
