Position Overview
Do you have a knack for precision and an eye for quality? As a Paper Cup Machinery Technician, your day will be filled with responsibilities essential to crafting high-quality paper cups. You'll ensure that each job runs smoothly by:
- Interpreting job jackets to confirm that all materials are correctly prepared and used.
- Nurturing the machine's performance with regular maintenance and adopting minor adjustments as needed, following the provided guidelines.
- Vigilantly monitoring work-in-progress, identifying and addressing defects such as wrinkled stock, excessive haze, or other abnormalities, and reporting these to the Cup Operator.
- Kick-starting and maintaining the machines, including efficient jam clearance.
- Splicing bottom stock, conducting inspections post-splice, and tracking bottom roll stock usage.
- Assessing WIP pallet dimensions and keeping precise counter records.
- Providing break relief for Packers when necessary.
- Implementing lockout/tag-out practices to ensure safety.
- Upholding the safety interlock systems by adhering to key protocols.
