Overview:

A reasonable estimate of the current range is $71,300 - $118,800 bonus benefits. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. At Pactiv Evergreen, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case.

The Benefits Analyst will primarily support corporate Health & Welfare benefit plans and periodically assist with well-being and leave of absence administration. Will assist in answering employee and HR inquiries about company sponsored benefits and policies. Will serve as point of contact for selected vendors. Will hold responsibility for routine administrative processes with corporate benefits vendor partners and HR.

Functions / Responsibilities included, but not limited to:
- Supports all aspects of Health & Welfare benefits administration
- Maintains confidentiality of sensitive information; ensures compliance with ERISA, HIPAA, COBRA, QDRO/QMCSO and all federal and state laws.
- Assesses and assists the needs of HR and employees
- Addresses employee inquiries about their company provided benefits
- Acts as liaison between shared HR service, employee and outsourced benefit vendor as necessary.
- Handles appeals, resolves any problems or disputes regarding provision of benefits
- Support billing and invoice reconciliation and review process for providers/carriers and Recordkeepers.
- Partners with the labor team to provided requested information such as data analysis in preparation for union bargaining activities.
- Assists HR in educating newly eligible employees about benefit packages
- Conducts audits, which can include the following areas: benefits, leave management, direct billing processes, retirement reporting, etc.
- Assist with annual 5500 filings, ACA reporting and SAR reporting, compliance testing and audit projects (OPEB – retiree medical and retiree life, internal audits etc.)
- Stays up-to-date on state and federal regulations concerning insurance and other employee benefits
- Works with internal corporate functions and external administrators to ensure financial, internal/external policy and legal compliance as it pertains to benefits
- Supports all corporate benefit related projects, including but not limited to communications, system testing, vendor coordination and annual open enrollment assignments
- Coordinates any physical communications and mail from vendors, employees and agencies to the proper representative
- Other projects or duties as assigned

Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, Accounting or related field
- 5 years of corporate HR/benefits administration experience
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite: Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Access
- Experience with an employer, insurance carrier or case management group (preferred)
- Experience with Workday, ServiceNow and benefit administration platforms (preferred)
- Experience with Retirement plan administration a plus
- CEBS, PHR or SPHR certification a plus
