83 miles east of San Francisco, Stockton is a city on the San Joaquin River, in California’s Central Valley. The Haggin Museum features fine art and local history displays. Oak Grove Regional Park has trails, a nature center and a lake stocked with catfish. In nearby Lodi, Micke Grove Regional Park includes a Japanese garden, the San Joaquin County Historical Museum and Micke Grove Zoo. The Children’s Museum of Stockton offers hands-on exhibits.

The plant was built in 1981, manufactures paper cups, lids and folding food containers, and has approximately 400 employees.

Schedule:

• Primarily Monday - Friday, some Saturdays as needed
• 2nd Shift: 3:00pm - 11:30pm (overtime with 12 hour shifts may be required occassionally)

Responsibilities

• Manage, direct and coordinate all activities related to a production shift to maximize productivity and minimize cost while maintaining quality
• Typically supervises 50 plus employees
• Coordinate with Scheduler to ensure daily production requirements are achieved
• Carry out supervisory responsibilities including interviewing, hiring & training employees
• Planning, assigning & directing work
• Appraising performance
• Rewarding & disciplining employees
• Addressing complaints & resolving problems
• Ensure all production data is gathered and reported correctly on a daily basis
• Support & improve upon Quality initiatives designed to meet plant goals
• Ensures safety programs are implemented effectively, reviewed regularly and revised as necessary

Qualifications

• BA/BS degree preferred (business, engineering, or other related field)
• 2 years of supervisory experience in manufacturing
• Good verbal & interpersonal communication skills
• Ability to work well in group situations
• Ability to deal effectively with conflict in mature & consistent manner
• Good computer skills, proficiency with Microsoft Office
• SAP experience preferred

The compensation range is specific to California and takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. At Pactiv Evergreen, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is: $69,500/year - $92,700/year.
