Located 111 miles north of Los Angeles, Bakersfield is a city on the Kern River, north of Los Angeles. Displays at the Buena Vista Museum of Natural History focus on geology and paleontology.

Pactiv Evergreen is required by laws in many locations to include a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role.

The compensation range takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets;

experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. At Pactiv Evergreen, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case.

A reasonable estimate of the current range is $69K -$115K.

Responsibilities : This position is for Pactiv Evergreen Inc.

Job Duties :

Manage, direct, and coordinate all activities related to a production shift to maximize productivity and minimize cost while maintaining quality

Typically supervises 50 plus employees

Coordinate with Scheduler to ensure daily production requirements are achieved

Carry out supervisory responsibilities including interviewing, hiring & training employees

Planning, assigning & directing work

Evaluating performance

Rewarding & disciplining employees

Addressing complaints & resolving problems

Ensure all production data is gathered and reported correctly on a daily basis

Support & improve upon Quality initiatives designed to meet plant goals

Ensures safety programs are implemented effectively, reviewed regularly, and revised as necessary

Qualifications : Job Qualifications :

BA / BS degree preferred (business, engineering) but not required

3 years of manufacturing experience required

3-5 years of Supervisor experience preferred

Must be able to work night shift : (11 : 00PM - 8 : 00AM) (Monday night - Saturday morning)

Excellent verbal & interpersonal communication skills

Ability to work well in group situations

Ability to deal effectively with conflict in mature & consistent manner

Must be proficient in Outlook and Microsoft Office

SAP experience preferred

Experience with Continuous Improvement and Lean Manufacturing skills is a plus

Bilingual preferred but not required
