Job Summary
A Landscape Specialist is a key member of the team, responsible for delivering on-site services, support, and expertise across various locations. This role involves conducting lawn care fieldwork, maintaining equipment, ensuring operational efficiency, and serving as a point of contact for clients and team members. The Lead - Field Specialist will work closely with internal teams to ensure that client needs are met with quality and professionalism, aligning with the company’s goals and standards.
Duties
Equipment Operations and Maintenance
- Operate mowers and other lawn care equipment to mow grass to a consistent height.
- Operate and maintain mowing equipment, ensuring all machines are in good working order.
- Conduct basic repairs and maintenance on equipment, including fueling, cleaning, and sharpening blades.
- Clean and store all equipment at the end of the workday.
Lawn and Landscaping Tasks
- Trim and edge lawns, sidewalks, and driveways for a clean, polished look.
- Perform routine maintenance such as weeding flower beds, trimming bushes, and removing debris.
- Clean and maintain flower beds, mulch areas, and other landscaping features.
Client Communication and Relationship Management
- Communicate with clients to ensure satisfaction with completed work.
- Address any customer concerns or requests while on-site and report feedback to management.
- Build and maintain positive relationships with clients to ensure ongoing satisfaction and retention.
- Promote additional services and upgrades when appropriate.
Work Planning and Execution
- Follow daily work orders and routes efficiently to ensure timely completion of all tasks.
- Ensure all properties are properly serviced according to schedule and in line with company standards.
Safety and Compliance
- Adhere to safety guidelines and use personal protective equipment while working.
- Maintain awareness of site-specific safety risks and follow all relevant policies and procedures.
Documentation and Reporting
- Record services performed, including time spent and materials used, for billing and reporting purposes.
- Report any issues with equipment, customer concerns, or other observations to management.
Team Collaboration
- Work closely with team members to ensure efficiency and high-quality service delivery.
- Support colleagues with additional tasks or equipment as needed.
Site Cleanup
- Ensure work areas are tidy and all waste is properly disposed of.
Skills
- Strong customer service skills with a focus on client satisfaction.
- Multilingual capabilities are highly desirable to cater to a diverse clientele.
- Experience in call center operations or customer support environments is beneficial.
- Proficiency in data entry with attention to detail.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English; additional languages are a plus.
- Ability to analyze situations quickly and provide effective solutions.
- Cash handling experience is advantageous for positions requiring financial transactions.
