CAD Drafter

Job Summary:

Paddock Pool Equipment Company are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented 2D CAD Draftsman to join our team. The successful candidate will work closely with the Senior Aquatic Engineer to effectively collaborate with Sales and Engineering Departments and be responsible for creating technical drawings for use by the sales team and external design professionals. This role requires a strong understanding of technical principles, the ability to interpret specifications, and effective collaboration with engineers and other professionals.

Responsibilities:

• Maintain and update product documentation including cut sheets and specifications.
• Develop project-specific drawings and calculation sheets for use by external design consultants.
• Revise and update existing drawings based on feedback or changes in project requirements.
• Collaborate with the Sales Department and clients to understand project requirements and translate conceptual ideas into accurate drawings.
• Utilize 2D CAD software (AutoCAD) to create detailed technical drawings based on provided plans and specifications.
• Ensure drawings adhere to industry-specific standards and regulations.
• Verify designs for accuracy, completeness, and potential errors.
• Maintain organized documentation, including version control and revision history.
• Communicate effectively with team members to address questions, provide clarifications, and incorporate feedback into drawings.
• Stay updated with the latest advancements in CAD software and industry-specific technologies.
• Assist in problem-solving and troubleshooting during the drafting process.
• Manage time efficiently to meet project deadlines.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a 2D CAD Draftsman or similar role.
• Proficiency in 2D CAD software, specifically AutoCAD.
• Strong technical understanding and the ability to interpret technical documentation.
• Knowledge of industry-specific standards and regulations preferred.
• Detail-oriented with a keen eye for accuracy.
• Communicate and collaborate to work effectively as part of a multi-faceted team.
• Problem-solving abilities and adaptability.
• Organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Continuous learning mindset to stay updated with industry trends and software advancements.

Education and Experience:

• Degree or certification in Drafting, Engineering, CAD software, or a related field preferred.
• 2 years minimum of experience as a 2D CAD Draftsman.
• Familiarity with 3D CAD modeling (e.g. Inventor) may be beneficial.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $24.00 - $26.00 per hour
