Associate Director, Development (Global)
Reporting to the Global Director, the Associate Director of Development will be responsible for developing and executing PADI AWARE’s global fundraising strategy; reporting on revenue analytics and key performance indicators; and development, implementation and evaluation of projects to secure financial support from a variety of revenue channels including individuals, peer-to-peer, foundations, corporations and events.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES :
Fundraising Strategy & Execution
- Design and execute a comprehensive global fundraising strategy to achieve annual revenue goals.
- Develop and implement a growth strategy for an international team of fundraising coordinators, stationed within our regional offices, capable of carrying out fundraising activities in various countries around the world in alignment with local NGO guidelines and restrictions.
- Develop and execute fundraising appeals.
Donor Engagement & Communications
Develop appropriate cultivation and stewardship strategies in order to execute individualized action plans for a portfolio of six and seven-figure donors.Cultivate and maintain ongoing relationships with donors, community leaders and partners through stewardship initiatives including acknowledgement, reporting and relationship-building activities.Develop donor communications content (newsletters, emails, campaigns)Execute all donor communications (newsletters, emails, campaigns) including thank you emails from Funraising, personal email and handwritten notes.Manage social media communications with the fundraisers and the broader community.Manage donation and fundraising information shared on the organization’s website.Corporate Partnerships
Identify and secure partnerships with corporations, especially those in the outdoor recreation, marine, and sustainability industries.Create tailored sponsorship packages that align with corporate CSR goals.Track Donors and Corporate Sponsors (potential & actual) in SalesforceGrants Management
Research Foundation Grant opportunities, develop potential target list, maintain data in SalesforcePrepare LOIsEnsure timely submissions of LOIsPrepare Grant Applications in collaboration with appropriate staffTrack reporting requirements and submit reports to FoundationsData and Analytics
Manage data entry to the web-based CRM and fundraising platform to maximize donor stewardship and segmentationRoutinely analyze and report on fundraising progress towards organizational goals and department KPIs.Responsible for production of annual reportEvents
Manage fundraising activities including but not limited to the foundations participation in marathons, donor dive excursions and community eventsRepresent the organization internally and externally including participation in community programs, outreach events, trade shows and meetings; travel to events as requiredCommunications
Work in collaboration with the Global Director to develop and implement a global communications strategyIn collaboration with various PADI departments, create and deploy communications through PADI channels.Oversee general global communications strategies including but not limited to emails, social media, blogs, YouTube, website, articles, and other communications channels as neededCustomize materials, communications and ancillary materials including donor gifts.20% travel required (domestic and international, events and donor meetings as necessary)
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s degree in non-profit management, public relations or related field8 years experience in non-profit fundraising3 years experience supervisory experienceExperience building and managing a teamProficiency with business software, Outlook, Microsoft 365, Salesforce, CRM database management (Funraisin a plus), project management software (BaseCamp a plus), Excel, Word, and CanvaExceptional verbal and written communication skillsStrong interpersonal skills & ability to build relationships with potential donorsAbility to maintain flexible work hours in order to accommodate meetings with global staffPassion for ocean conservation and an understanding of the recreational diving community is a plus.Experience working with the recreational dive sector a plus.PERSONAL TRAITS
