Many of the brands we serve are focused on sustainability and innovation and cross various categories within agriculture and environmental sciences, including crop production, animal nutrition and health, carbon sequestration, conservation, commodity promotion, lending, technology and much more.
This entry level role requires basic communications skills including writing, digital and social media content management, media relations, research, project coordination, event work and administrative tasks. This is a hybrid role that requires three days a week in the office.

Assistant Account Executive
Padilla is seeking an Assistant Account Executive (AAE) to join our thriving agriculture and food practice based in Minneapolis. This entry level role requires basic communications skills including writing, digital and social media content management, media relations, research, project coordination, event work and administrative tasks. This is a hybrid role that requires three days a week in the office.
What You'll Be Doing
- Understanding client objectives, program strategies, budgets, timelines and media plans for assigned accounts
- Learning how print/broadcast/online media works and how to successfully pitch stories that might feature or include clients
- Supporting team project and program planning and implementation activities including digital marketing, building and maintaining media lists, writing news releases, managing digital and social media accounts, press kits and media alerts, distributing press materials and learning to pitch media
- Assisting in team research needs in all forums, including leveraging digital research tools and platforms and formulating thoughts and recommendations based on research results
- Developing an ability to write for several different communication disciplines: memos, feature articles, digital and social media content, marketing materials, internal communications, op-eds, speeches, etc.
- Assisting in developing plans, budgets and timelines for strategic marketing and communication plans
- Assisting in the development of marketing materials, including brochures/newsletters, digital and online campaigns, surveys, special events, etc.
- Contributing to the timely production of accurate, error-free conference reports and measurement reports
- Supporting team new business efforts including researching prospects and participating in RFP responses and new business presentation preparations
- Meeting all deadlines and keep supervisors informed of progress on projects
- Attending all team meetings; coming prepared, taking notes and following through on any commitments you make in these meetings
- Making sure your supervisors are doing their part so that your needs are being met and you are being supported in delivering upon your obligations to clients, colleagues, the media, business partners, etc.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent industry experience
- Relevant internship or professional experience
- Strong verbal and written communications skills
- Agency experience a plus
- Good time management skills
