General Summary/Purpose
Assistant Branch Managers (ABM) seek opportunities to grow business for Paducah Bank and create devoted lifelong fans by exemplifying our culture both inside and outside the bank. The ABM helps lead a positive workplace environment for teammates who provide remarkable customer service. They are entrusted with maintaining confidentiality around employee performance, customer information, and corporate strategies.
Assistant Branch Managers are able to manage the daily operations of their location in the absence of their Branch Experience Manager. They operate within established policies and procedures, win new business for Paducah Bank, and grow and retain lifelong relationships with our customers.
Assistant Branch Managers deliver a full banking relationship to customers, recognize opportunities for partner referrals, and assist customers with all loan and depository related needs. Individuals filling this role are expected to complete all internal cross-training provided as well as any outside training that is deemed applicable, and model desired behaviors at all times. They partner with their Branch Experience Manager on continuous observational coaching to support and develop each member of their team. ABM’s participate in leading daily stand-up meetings to maintain strong communication across their location. They are intentional about delegating, teaching, and developing each individual they lead, and take ownership of complex customer problem resolution in absence of the Branch Experience Manager.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
#1 Manage the Delivery of Extraordinary Branch Experiences
Assist BEM as needed to ensure branch is staffed to provide exceptional customer service each day according to bank established staffing models, equipment is operating and functional, and escalating operational needs for timely resolution.
Assist BEM as needed to create and publish branch schedules a minimum of four weeks in advance, allowing teammates adequate time to plan outside personal appointments and FTO while ensuring staffing levels support location needs.
Recognize and encourage teammates to reinforce desired behaviors.
Serve as a trusted advisor to Personal Experience Bankers in situations that require a second opinion or exception to bank policy.
Assist in completion of monthly operational checklist items and branch cash operations following established cash handling guidelines, limits, and any additional location specific operating requirements pertaining to coin and currency levels.
#2 Grow Market Share and Deepen Client Relationships
Foster a welcoming environment that delivers personalized experiences and ensures all clients and prospects feel valued by Paducah Bank.
Support a culture that uncovers needs, provides solutions through qualified partner referrals and retail branch deliverables, and empowers financial success for Paducah Bank clients.
Through growing Digital Engagement, empower customers to have access to their financial information and conduct basic banking activities on their schedules.
Serve as Product Knowledge Expert on all consumer and business products offered by Paducah Bank, including but not limited to deposit and loan solutions.
Help lead branch engagement and success in sales campaigns that support measurable growth goals throughout the year.
#3 Promote Growth through Coaching and Employee Development
Help ensure branch location attracts, retains, and develops talent aligned with Retail Staffing Model.
Works with Branch Experience Manager to help execute an effective retail onboarding and training experience for both new-to-branch and newly-promoted teammates.
