Key Responsibilities:
- Work collaboratively with Regional Medical Directors and other physicians to promote quality care and patient safety
- Maintain utilization management and clinical practice standards through application of the organization's clinical criteria
- Participate in development of medical/clinical policies and provide case consultation to clinical staff when asked
- Ensure highest level of medical quality and service at assigned site and represent organization clinical philosophy to patients, providers, facility personnel, and community
- Utilize electronic medical record system throughout scope of duties and responsibilities
- Review care plans for patients returning from hospitalizations, ER runs, and off-site specialty care visits
- Provide clinical supervision to staff physicians and mid-level providers at site level
- Communicate regularly with dentists, mental health professionals, and optometrists on site to develop holistic approach to healthcare for patients
- Develop corrective action plans for clinical and administrative deficiencies in conjunction with Site and Regional Managers and Regional Medical Director
The ideal candidate will have a West Virginia Medical license and prior experience with use of electronic medical record systems.
