What are the responsibilities and job description for the LEAD LOGISTICS SUPPORT position at Pafford EMS of Mississippi Inc?
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Develops and maintains fiscally responsible supply chain plan for existing and new operations within Pafford Medical Services by coordinating activities across various functional areas to include sourcing, procurement, materials, and inventory management.
- Accountable for adherence to supply chain and cost reduction targets, overseeing demand planning activities; monitoring progress, increase supply chain dependability, reviewing ordering schedules and resolve cross departmental problems in supply chain efficiency.
- Establish key programs or projects that target specific improvement opportunities to reduce costs and distribution times, resolve quality issues, and increase supply dependability and flexibility. Monitors plans from conception to completion.
- Completes and maintains comprehensive records to remain in compliance with state and federal narcotics tracking and record keeping regulations; performs audits as necessary.
- Develops sourcing, procurement, and materials management relationships to achieve optimal levels of performance by way of open communication, involvement, and accountability.
- Manages sourcing and procurement initiatives related to medical supplies, medications and equipment to support successful emergency operations throughout the region..
- Works with executive leadership to develop and implements appropriate initiatives for varied regional operations. IE: Lean Ordering, Overstock Ordering, Centralized Supply, Continuous Flow, Backorder Contingencies.
- Works with fleet services department to establish preventative maintenance schedules for mobile assets; logs maintenance into Fleetio database for future analysis and audit
- Develops and maintains database within Fleetio for preventative maintenance and repair of medical devices; oversees logistics of program
- Oversees negotiations and the establishment of applicable supply agreements when necessary; contracts and purchase order terms and conditions.
- Ensures and maintains the integrity of processes for supplier communications, analysis and selection, procurement and outsourcing activities and sourcing strategies for healthcare supplies and equipment.
- Coordinates and collaborates with Pafford field and office personnel to facilitate maximum dependability and efficiency in supply chain and logistics programs.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable state, federal and local laws and regulatory requirements.
- Oversees and manages procurement, storage, distribution of schedule II, III, IV narcotics
- Preforms routine and unscheduled audits of narcotics distribution and usage throughout operational area.
- Assists management during federal and state audits and/or investigations.
- Strictly adheres to all Pafford Medical Service’s policies and procedures.
- Reports to Pafford “Core Group” on recommendations and process improvement measures.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Minimum 4 years combined progressive experience in operations, logistics or supply chain management; project management and leadership skills highly desired.
- Strong success record implementing supply chain and logistics improvements.
- Proficient in the use of MS Office Suites (Word, Excel, Powerpoint)
- Proficient in the use of Fleetio or related programs
- Excellent communicator with the ability to influence and persuade across all levels of the organization as well as with suppliers and customers, exercising a high degree of tact and diplomacy to accomplish objectives.
- Good interpersonal, project management and presentation skills, with the ability to clearly present recommendations and ideas and to summarize complex issues.
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced, time-sensitive environment with shifting priorities and multiple deadlines.
- Knowledge of quality assurance and corrective action programs.
- Knowledge purchasing, shipping and distribution laws.
