Job Title: Shop Mechanic
Job Summary:
Pafford EMS is seeking a skilled Shop Mechanic to join our team. As a Shop Mechanic, you will be responsible for performing front-line mechanical inspections, preventive maintenance, and electrical repairs on both diesel and gasoline vehicles.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform front-line mechanical inspections, preventive maintenance, and electrical repairs on both diesel and gasoline vehicles.
- Respond to vehicle breakdowns in the field when requested.
- Assist other mechanics as needed.
- Assist in the development of new maintenance programs.
- Operate company vehicles in accordance with company policy and safe driving practices.
- Complete all required vehicle repair and maintenance paperwork and documentation neatly, correctly, and timely.
- Attend all mandatory training and meetings.
- Perform all other duties as assigned by the Lead Mechanic or Operations Manager.
Requirements:
- Must have a high school diploma or equivalent education.
- Must have 2 years of verifiable experience as a Class C Mechanic, automotive knowledge, and skills necessary to perform maintenance and repairs on company vehicles.
- Must have a current and valid driver's license.
- Must have a full set of personal tools.
- If current employee, must obtain a recommendation from current supervisor.
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks, work with limited supervision, and as a team member.
- Ability to exercise good judgment, discretion, and confidentiality regarding sensitive matters.
- Ability to read, interpret, and follow instructions presented in various documents and manuals.
- Ability to perform the essential duties and responsibilities of the job.
- Regular and predictable attendance.
- EVOC.
- CPR Certification.
