What are the responsibilities and job description for the Lot Attendant position at Page Associates Inc?
Purpose:
The Lot Attendant ensures the accurate receipt of new & used vehicles delivered to the dealership and organizes vehicles in the new & used-vehicle lot.
Essential Duties:
- Vehicle Verification: Verify serial numbers of incoming vehicles against invoices.
- Inspection: Inspect vehicles for damage and verify the presence of accessories listed on the invoice, such as spare tires and radio equipment.
- Damage Recording: Document any damages and list missing items on the delivery receipt.
- Inventory photography: Some photography of vehicle inventory using our software
- Parking: Park new vehicles in assigned areas.
- Stock Control: Assign stock control numbers to cars, catalog, fuel vehicles and store keys.
- Registration: Bring forms to the RMV for registering sold cars.
- Customer Assistance: Assist technicians or valet as needed per the Sales Manager.
- Customer Service: Help customers locate their cars when they come to pick them up and bring cars to the door whenever possible.
- Winter Maintenance: Keep doorways shoveled, sanded, and cleared during winter months, and clear snow and ice from cars in the lot.
- Transport: Transport customers as requested by Sales & Service Managers.
- Miscellaneous Tasks: Pick up and deliver parts, personnel, and paperwork as required by other dealership departments.
- General Assistance: Perform tasks as directed by the Sales or Service Manager (e.g., washing customer cars, emptying trash containers, trash puckup on the premises, light landscaping or any other task that will assist in the smooth flow of the company).
