Primary Responsibilities
- Assist in setting up the US business in its initial days
- Broaden distribution and partnerships across the region
- Generate leads through various methods including, acquaintances, existing or past relationships, conferences, memberships, cold calling, etc.
- Identify the investment organizations which are prospects for our products and services and the key decision makers and influencers at those organizations. Establish and deepen relationships with senior investment professionals at these organizations.
- Introduce prospective clients to company products and services and convert into new business.
- Qualifying, researching and understanding prospects' financial status, investment needs and requirements and providing the best/appropriate investment solution across equity, fixed-income and alternatives (including hedge funds, pre-ipo, co-investment and any other opportunities)
- Frequently meet with clients to discuss portfolio, new products and services. Ensure strict discipline with documenting accurate call reports and to update client profiling after each client discussion/meeting via CRMs.
- Continuously update knowledge base i.e. General, Products, Markets, Competition and Certifications (if required) etc.
- Collaborate with internal and external specialist and service support teams to ensure the provision of superior service to clients.
- Strictly follow compliance policies and ensure all company and business unit policies, procedures and processes are followed.
- Aim would be to make top of mind for investors looking at investment opportunities and share regular and valuable insights with investors/intermediaries which eventually will lead to higher revenue, and maximized wallet share and profitability of the firm
- Participate actively and effectively in product launches and other new company or unit initiatives.
- Help develop yearly business plan within the overall departmental plan to include asset and revenue targets broken down by key market clients. Focus on long term rather than short term fixes.
- Developing and delivering customised investment proposals for client requested solutions in close consultation with portfolio managers, analysts and investment strategists.
- Performing client on-boarding, managing client relationships and servicing of client requirements.
- Represent the International Business platform on business related matters in the United States including, but not limited to marketing, competitive positioning, product development and sales strategy
- Develop & maintain relationships within investment desks and distribution teams
- Be involved in new product development and positioning to the extent needed
- Monitor trends in the market and propose solutions in response to them
- Work with marketing / communications teams to promote products and produce best-in-class client communications
Profile
- Passionate about Indian equities
- Ability to look beyond just business development and also contribute and provide suggestions to other functions as we expand internationally
- A degree holder with over 5-7 years (and 12-15 years for leadership role) or more of investment sales and marketing experience in a similar capacity in the asset management, financial services industry and/or experience providing capital market solutions to corporate or institutional clients.
- A portfolio of Institutional clients in US
- Proven track record in capital raising, financial and product sales and relationship building
- As a sales driven individual, excellent customer skills and a strong sense of initiative, drive and ability to work under pressure to meet and exceed sales objectives
- Good knowledge and understanding of investment assets and products, and strong ability to present investment proposals.
- Able to work independently, possess good interpersonal and communication skills.
- Highly entrepreneurial, self-motivated and solution oriented
- Excellent presentation skills which enable the delivery of concise and persuasive new business presentations

- A working knowledge of portfolio construction, how Indian investments fit within a mixed asset portfolio
- Ability to defend challenging performance with confidence and data to support the same
- Ability to use technology to dissect the market and opportunity set across regions, client type and strategies for better efficiency and focus
- 15 years & above experience in capital markets, asset management, consulting, etc.

Salary : $175,000 - $225,000
