Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and organized Medical Receptionist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing exceptional administrative support in a fast-paced medical environment. This role is crucial in ensuring smooth operations at the front desk, managing patient interactions, and maintaining accurate health information. This position can either be part time or full time. It will require travel to our Flora location one day a week.
Duties
- Greet patients and visitors warmly, ensuring a positive first impression of the practice.
- Manage front desk operations, including answering phones, scheduling appointments, and handling patient inquiries.
- Maintain patient records with accuracy, ensuring compliance with health information management standards.
- Utilize medical terminology to communicate effectively with patients and healthcare professionals.
- Assist with medical billing processes and verify insurance information, including Medicare coverage.
- Coordinate communication between patients and medical staff to facilitate efficient care delivery.
- Ensure the office environment is organized and welcoming for all patients.
- Handle administrative tasks such as filing, data entry, and maintaining office supplies.
Experience
- Previous experience as a Medical Receptionist or in a similar role is preferred.
- Familiarity with office management practices and medical administrative support functions is essential.
- Knowledge of eClinicalworks or similar medical software systems is an advantage.
- Strong phone etiquette and interpersonal skills are required to interact effectively with patients and staff.
- A solid understanding of medical terminology will enhance communication within the healthcare setting.
