What are the responsibilities and job description for the Certificated Activities Assistant position at Page Rehabilitation?
The Assistant Director of Therapeutic Recreation is responsible for assisting the Director of Therapeutic Recreation with the development, planning, implementation, supervision, and evaluation of an ongoing program of activities designed to meet the interests and the physical, mental, and psychosocial needs of each individual resident. Responsible for the Memory Support program and assuring that the program meets all Federal and State regulations. Responsible for completion and/or delegating the completion of the activities component of the comprehensive assessment, contributing and/or delegating contribution to the comprehensive care plan goals and approaches that are individualized to match the skills, abilities, and interests/preferences of each resident.
ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS
- Must have a minimum of three years experience in a long-term care facility, or have a Bachelor of Science Degree in a related field, facility and eligibility to earn a CTRS or ADC certification with certification obtained within 6 months of hire.
- Must maintain CTRS or ADC credentials and remain up to date on requirements of the CTRS credential.
- Must successfully complete the facility CPR/AED training course and facility Feeding Assistant (FA) training course within 90 days of hire.
Employment is contingent on completion of all pre-employment screening inclusive of a criminal background check and Medicaid Exclusion Screening, both indicating negative results
