Equipment Operator

Page Utility Enterprises (PUE), is seeking qualified applicants for the position of Equipment Operator. This position Performs semi-skilled work operating varied light, medium and heavy automotive and specialized equipment. Work involves responsibility for the safe and efficient operation of assigned equipment. Employees perform related assigned manual labor tasks when the equipment is not needed or is not available. Assignments may be allocated specifically for each job or may follow established routines. Work is reviewed by a supervisor for quality, quantity, safe operation and equipment care. Thorough knowledge of City and State traffic laws. Considerable knowledge of safety rules and regulations. Working knowledge of PUE maintenance, construction, tools, equipment and practices. Some knowledge of the operation of heavy automotive equipment. Skill in the operation of assigned equipment. Ability to recognize abnormal operating functions on the equipment. Services equipment with gas, oil, water or lubrication; reports any mechanical defects. Sufficient stamina to perform manual tasks and endure numerous consecutive hours on light/heavy equipment. Must be able to stand, use both hands, arms and legs, stoop and bend, and lift up to 100 pounds. Assist Line Crew when needed. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with other employees and the public. Ability to follow written and oral instructions. Performs other duties as required. Must have and maintain AZ Class A CDL. Directional Bore Equipment experience a plus.

Working hours are Monday through Thursday, 7:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
