What are the responsibilities and job description for the KITCHEN MANAGER position at Pahaska Tepee Resort?
We’re seeking a qualified and trained individual who is passionate about food to serve as our Chef / Kitchen Manager to lead our kitchen and continue our reputation of serving great food at reasonable prices. We look forward to offering new menu items as well as keeping our local favorites.
The Chef will be responsible for :
- all aspects of the kitchen and back of the house duties
- creating and developing a great menu
- assisting in setting prices, portion control and attention to food costs
- training, overseeing, supervising and assisting kitchen staff (line cooks, staff cook, prep cooks and dishwashers)
- preparing, assisting, and training in the preparation of high quality, visually appealing and delicious food
- assisting with inventory and purchasing
- building a cohesive, functional, and high performing team
- perform under stress
- excellent teambuilding and communication skills
- always maintain sanitary, organized conditions that meet all codes and standards
