What are the responsibilities and job description for the COUNT TEAM ATTENDANT position at Pahrump Nugget, Gold Town & Lakeside (Pahrump, NV)?
Summary: Responsible for collecting and properly storing drop boxes within the casino. Handles slot bill validators and all revenue drops while ensuring compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations of the Nevada Gaming Control Board, federal and state laws governing monetary transactions and company policies, procedures and controls.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
- Collect bill validator units and transport them to the Soft Count room
- Conducts all facets of the count from the opening of the boxes, preparing of the drop, verification of documentation and bundling of currency to the final reconciliation of totals, as well as any other related tasks
- Ensures the integrity of all soft count transactions
- Assists in a mechanically assisted count of the contents of the table drop boxes to determine by table the amount of the drop and the win
- Prepares various reports, including stiff sheets, transfer sheets, audit fills and credit slips, reconciles all totals to the master summary and forwards all information to appropriate individuals
- Handles bill validator and drop pick-ups
- Maintains all records, reports and other required paperwork in the count division
- Conducts the necessary research to effectively resolve soft count disputes
- Accountable, to a high degree, for the accuracy and thoroughness of departmental records and reports
- Responsible to sign in/out keys from Key Watcher
- Ensure compliance with all applicable gaming laws and company internal controls, policies and procedures, Title 31, and federal regulations, if they apply to the position
- Provide outstanding guest service in a timely manner to both guests and fellow team members that meets the company’s guest service culture standards
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 6 months previous count room experience preferred
- Previous cash handling experience preferred
- Prior experience working in a team or group environment preferred
- Able to accurately perform basic math skills
- Able to functionally communicate occupational-based English, both written and verbal
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Must be at least 21 years of age
- Obtain and maintain all work cards as required by the company

Physical Requirements:
- Constantly standing at least 75% of the time
- Regularly lifting, pushing, pulling, carrying bending and/or kneeling
- Physical condition for repetitive movement
- Vision, hearing, speech, phone, radio, and literacy (critical)
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus
- Use tools or equipment requiring a high degree of dexterity
- Additional conditions include the ever-present hazard of sharp edges in and around the slot machines, and poor air quality inside the count room due to excessive dust
