Job Summary :
Responsible for lead trainer role within the Packaging department to ensure employees are fully trained and capable of performing job duties. The COJT Packaging role will work under limited supervision for routine work and will be provided with general instructions on special projects or new assignments. A position will be available on each 12 hour shift (A, B, C, D shifts).
Duties / Responsibilities :
Follows all policies, procedures, SOPs, cGMPS, Work Instructions, and supervisor instructions.
- Ability to perform functions of multiple Packaging Associate / Operator levels
- Assist in organizing the work activities of Packaging Associates / Operators on the assigned shift in partnership with the acting Supervisor.
- Answer questions, provide direction and training
- Ensures trainee gains full understanding and correctly demonstrates processes prior to release
- Utilizes “Prep-Show-Do-Check” training method for instruction
- Meets and welcomes new trainees upon release from orientation
- Prepare packaging line for production by confirming line clearance
- Ensure line is setup per batch record
- Effectively communicate within the department any issues along with providing manufacturing status updates to management.
- Maintains communication with other departments on key issues.
- Work closely in conjunction with and as part of the Learning & Development group for training guidelines, techniques, methods, and best practices
- Provide regular trainee progress reports and status updates
- Champion all cGMP / GDP standards
Required Skills / Abilities :
The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and / or ability required.
Education and Experience :
High school and / or on the job education in a specific skill area, E.G. data processing, clerical / administrative, equipment operation, etc., plus 2 years related experience and / or training, and or equivalent combination of education and experience. Certified Train the Trainer preferred.
