The Senior Account Manager/Media Planner serves in the dual but related roles of managing client accounts as well as developing and helping execute client media programs.
Will support Account Leads by expertly and efficiently managing multiple client projects. Responsibilities include obtaining project direction from the client, developing creative briefs, obtaining account lead input and direction, and working with the creative department as well as other necessary departments to complete the project to specification. Tasks include tracking the status of projects to ensure deadlines are met and remain within project scope and budget, coordinating project reviews and approvals, and assisting in the maintenance of accurate and complete project archives. Projects could include print collateral, email campaigns, trade shows, video projects, and sales promotion/merchandising programs.
The Senior Account Manager/Media Planner also will support account leads in media research, planning, placement and development of ads for digital and traditional media programs. This includes administrative functions and paperwork required to carry out assigned media functions, and establishing and maintaining good media relationships.
Requires a minimum of 5-7 years of related experience with prior experience in an advertising or marcom agency preferred.
Senior Account Manager duties:
- Serve as primary point of contact for select client projects; manage client review/approval process
- Work with internal account and creative teams on client projects and activities to meet deadlines
- Prepare meeting materials, including meeting agendas, handouts and other documents, as directed by the account lead
- Maintain client project and event databases (stakeholders, committee lists, etc.) and generate related reports
- Assist with client mailings, email distributions, and other communications
- Proactively communicate with clients on a daily basis in a professional, efficient manner
- Coordinate, set up and tear down client related meetings, events, or promotional activities
- Contribute to client strategy and planning meetings
- Continually seek ways to add value to the client-agency relationship
Media Planner duties:
- Serve as point of contact for all media representatives (local, regional, national, international)
- Assist in media research and analysis at the direction of the account lead
- Develop and maintain media lists
- Assist in the development of media plans, including solicitation and analysis of media proposals based on client goals and final negotiation of paid and added-value placements
- Manage client media plans, including verifying digital/traditional production specs and development and approval of ad materials
- Develop, issue, and maintain updated media insertion orders (cancellations, date, size changes, etc.) and distribute the updated orders to media contacts and make timely placement of all media according to schedules.
- Maintain all resource and media files within agency project management software and update constantly, including media, client, and tear sheet files.
- Alert account leads of special media offers/placement opportunities, etc.
Position requires proximity to The Paige Group’s headquarters in Utica, NY, valid NYS driver’s license, and ability to travel to client locations and events.

Salary : $62,000 - $72,000
