Description
Pain management practice looking for a self motivated individual with good communication and organization skills, familiar with Medicare, Medi-Cal and commercial plan portals.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and verify patient's medical benefits
- Check eligibility on Medi-Cal, Availity, Medicare and all other health insurance portals.
- Ensure servicing provider is in-network with patient's primary and secondary insurance
- Ensure that if prior authorization is required by the insurance one is on file or obtained before services are render
- Answers patient inquiries and takes messages for follow up
- Participates in staff meetings and other meetings as instructed.
- Maintains confidentiality within the workplace and within the community.
- Handles protected health information in a manner consistent with the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996 (HIPAA).
- Adheres to the Mission and Values of PCCC
- Performs other duties as required and assigned

Requirements
- 1 year experience coordinating medical insurance benefits
- Excellent communication skills
