Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team. Responsibilities
- Provide medical administrative support, including scheduling appointments and managing patient records to include proper documentation in an electronic health record.
- Assist with patient care by taking vital signs, preparing patients for examinations, and documenting medical histories.
- Support our patients by understanding their specific health needs and providing appropriate assistance during visits.
- Conduct medical tasks as directed by healthcare provider, ensuring adherence to safety protocols.
- Provide strong clinical support to include urine drug screening and medication dispensing.
- Demonstrate knowledge of anatomy to assist in various procedures and communicate effectively with patients regarding their care.
- Ensure a clean and organized work environment, adhering to all health regulations.
Skills
- Strong background in medical administrative support with an emphasis on patient service.
- Proficient in taking vital signs and understanding the importance of accurate measurements in patient assessments.
- Knowledgeable in patient care and the unique considerations required for patients with disabilities.
- Familiarity with coding practices for effective billing processes to assure precertification for durable medical equipment, medication or a procedure is documented properly.
- Understanding of medical procedures and the ability to assist during these processes confidently.
- Solid anatomy knowledge to support clinical tasks effectively.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact with patients and healthcare professionals seamlessly.
- Capability to multi-task in busy private practice setting to assure patient services are provided in a timely and accurate manner.
