Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Advanced Emergency Medical Technician (AEMT) to join our dynamic team. The AEMT plays a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care in emergency situations, working closely with paramedics and other healthcare professionals. Duties
- Assess and triage patients in emergency situations to determine the severity of their conditions.
- Provide critical care and advanced life support interventions as needed.
- Monitor and record vital signs, ensuring accurate documentation of patient status.
- Manage airways effectively, utilizing appropriate techniques and equipment.
- Assist with the transport of patients to a Level II Trauma Center or other medical facilities.
- Utilize durable medical equipment (DME) as required for patient care.
- Perform venipuncture for blood draws and intravenous access.
- Engage in heavy lifting and maneuvering of patients safely during transport.
- Collaborate with other emergency response team members to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Qualifications
- Current certification as an Advanced Emergency Medical Technician (AEMT).
- Strong knowledge of emergency medical procedures and protocols.
- Ability to drive emergency vehicles safely and efficiently under various conditions.
- Experience in critical care settings is preferred but not mandatory.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
- Physical stamina to perform heavy lifting and remain on feet for extended periods.
- Demonstrated ability to remain calm and make quick decisions in high-pressure environments.
