Overview
We’re seeking a Business Development Specialist (BDS) to build relationships with healthcare providers and promote our services within an assigned territory. This role is key to strengthening our brand and serves as the primary contact for referral partners. Regular travel is required to engage providers, educate staff, and drive referrals.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and engage referral sources to grow patient referrals.
- Meet or exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual referral goals.
- Gather market insights and provide feedback on branding and marketing efforts.
- Represent the company at industry events and trade shows.
- Organize and lead educational meetings with referring physicians and staff.
- Maintain a database to track outreach and referral trends.
- Stay updated on company services, industry developments, and competitors.
- Maintain professional relationships and continue professional development.
- Complete required training and compliance programs.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree with 2 years in sales/marketing or equivalent experience.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong communication, relationship-building, and customer service skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Flexibility to work a variable schedule and manage multiple priorities.
- Professional demeanor with strong attention to detail.
- Knowledge of healthcare operations and medical terminology.
Preferred:
- 5 years of healthcare/pharmaceutical outside sales experience.
- Experience using a CRM system.
Travel & Work Requirements
- Up to 100% travel within the assigned territory.
- Reliable transportation required.
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary: $65,000 – $85,000 per year
- PTO: Up to 96 hours in the first year
