Medical Assistant

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing support to healthcare professionals and ensuring a smooth patient experience. This position requires a strong understanding of medical terminology, coding, and various medical practices, particularly in outpatient settings and trauma care.

Key Responsibilities:

• Greet and prepare patients for examinations and procedures.
• Measure and record vital signs (e.g., blood pressure, heart rate, weight, etc.).
• Document patient history, chief complaints, and medical information in the EMR system.
• Assist physicians during examinations and minor procedures.
• Administer injections, medications, and perform basic laboratory testing as needed.
• Schedule appointments, process referrals, and follow up on medical results.
• Ensure exam rooms are clean, stocked, and prepared for patients.
• Provide education and instructions to patients regarding treatment plans, medications, and aftercare.
• Handle administrative tasks, including answering phones, responding to emails, and verifying insurance.

Pay: $17.00 - $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
