Your Key Responsibilities:
- Be a detective: Review and verify patient information and medical records with utmost accuracy.
- Master the codes: Assign the appropriate medical codes (ICD-9, ICD-10, DRG) to procedures and diagnoses seamlessly.
- Own the follow-ups: Work with our billing partner to tackle unpaid or denied claims and ensure successful resubmissions.
- Bridge the gap: Collaborate with insurance companies to resolve billing challenges and secure timely payments.
- Protect privacy: Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with HIPAA regulations.
- Team spirit: Coordinate with medical staff to guarantee accurate documentation of services.
- Stay ahead: Keep up-to-date with changes in medical coding guidelines and regulations.
- Handle payments: Oversee payment posting and work on payment plans with patients.
The Experience We Value:
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in medical billing or coding, preferably in pain management.
