Experienced Litigation Paralegal

Paine Hamblen seeks an experienced paralegal to join our team. Successful candidates should have at least three years of experience in civil litigation defense, a legal environment supporting an attorney or a judge, and be proficient in Microsoft Office.

For qualified candidates with at least three years of experience, the expected hourly rate will range from $30-$34, in addition to monthly performance bonuses. Compensation will be determined based on the individual’s qualifications and experience.

Medical, vision, life, and disability insurance coverage are paid 100% by the Firm. Dental coverage is offered but paid for by the employee. The Firm also contributes 3% to an employee’s 401(k) plan with an additional match contribution of up to 6% of the employee’s compensation, depending on the employee’s contribution.

• Supporting attorneys with various caseloads and practice areas
• Drafting pleadings for attorney review
• Drafting discovery documents for attorney review
• Summarizing deposition transcripts effectively
• Compiling detailed medical chronologies
• Proofreading legal documents with precision
• Redacting sensitive information from documents
• Assisting in hearings and trial preparation as required
• Communication with clients and witnesses professionally
• Performing other paralegal duties as assigned

• US Work Authorization
• At least three years of experience in civil litigation defense in a legal environment supporting an attorney or judge
• Knowledge of legal terminology, court rules and procedures
• Case management
• Excellent organization and attention to detail
• Strong communication skills
• Skilled at time management and working effectively under pressure in a high-paced atmosphere
• Proficient in Microsoft Office
