What are the responsibilities and job description for the Building Custodian position at PainStop Spine Clinic, LLC?
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Custodian to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and sanitation of facilities that we manage, ensuring a safe, clean, and healthy environment for everyone.
Responsibilities:
Daily Interior (2-3 hours)
- Perform routine cleaning and sanitation of all areas, including entrance, hallways, waiting areas, offices, bathrooms, conference rooms and common spaces. Ensure all surfaces, windows, and floors are cleaned and disinfected regularly.
- Maintain cleanliness in all areas, this includes tasks such as cleaning elevators, emptying trash, and wiping down trash can, walls, automatic doors. It will also include filling every paper towel dispenser and making sure every toilet paper dispenser and office bathroom has two rolls on a daily basis. Wipe elevators service, buttons, trash cans, and automatic doors, windows, rails, stairs, trimmed area, and picture frames. Table service where there is no paper will be dusted.
- Unclog toilets, sinks with basic tools as needed.
- Vacuum and mop daily.
- Maintain tools in clean condition for next time use.
Daily Exterior trash (30 mins- 1 hours)
- Responsible for driving around the exterior area. Spot problems areas and maintaining the exterior grounds of the building, picking up trash, and ensuring the outside area is clean and presentable.
Exterior Custodian (5 hours)
Every 2 weeks during the growing seasons.
- Basic lawn care, cutting, blowing, trimming trees, and edging.
- Pick up trash while mowing
General and qualification
- Able to Perform regular cleaning tasks according to an established schedule (daily, weekly, monthly etc.).
- Trained and able to perform safety and infection control protocols to prevent cross-contamination and ensure a hygienic environment.
- Basic maintenance or repair as needed. If you are needing an assistant, inform maintenance technicians as quickly as possible.
- Assist with special cleaning projects as required.
- Follow instruction, basic reading skills.
- These job responsibilities are not all encompassing and flexibility in tasks will be a critical skill for success in this role.
Requirements:
- Previous janitorial or custodial experience, preferably in a healthcare or medical environment.
- Knowledge of cleaning products, chemicals, and proper cleaning techniques.
- Ability to follow health and safety guidelines and infection control procedures.
- Strong attention to detail and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Able to bend and stand for 3 hours continuously. Able to lift 80 lbs.
- Able to work within designated hours. Monday to Friday.
- Hard Work, trustworthy, dependable,
- Must have a valid driver’s license.
- Able to pass pre-employment drug screening and background check.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to report any issues promptly and effectively.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in a medical clinic or healthcare setting, specifically regarding HIPAA regulations and confidentiality.
- Basic knowledge of infection control and safety standards in a medical environment.
