Duties
- Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, and applying primers as needed.
- Apply paint, varnish, or other finishes using brushes, rollers, or spray equipment.
- Perform basic masonry tasks as required for surface preparation.
- Assist in concrete finishing processes to ensure smooth surfaces.
- Utilize power tools safely and effectively for various construction tasks.
- Read and interpret schematics and blueprints to understand project requirements.
- Collaborate with team members on construction estimating for project planning.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area throughout the duration of projects.
- Follow safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment at all times.
Requirements
- Proven experience in residential painting or some commercial painting is preferred.
- Sprayer knowledge of set up, use, and clean up (ability to spray inside and outside)
- Some job management skills
- Possess all hand tools needed to prep and mask a house interior and exterior
- Transportation to and from jobs preferably a truck.
- Proficient in the use of power tools and equipment related to painting and construction tasks.
- Basic math skills for measuring materials accurately are essential.
- Ability to read schematics and blueprints effectively is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well within a team environment.
- Physical stamina and the ability to lift heavy materials as needed and be comfortable on roofs and ladders with safety always in mind.
