Job Summary
A position at Painter Bros isn’t your ordinary manager job. As the Production Manager your job will be primarily surrounding the organization and completion of several commercial projects for some of our largest national accounts, general contractor partnerships, large commercial vendors, subcontractors and other franchise owners within the Painter Bros umbrella.
Major Tasks, Responsibilities, and Key Accountabilities
- Develop project plans for each construction project, with accurate timelines for collaboration of each department involved.
- Plan and coordinate project meetings including kickoff and progress status for each project.
- Develop and distribute project reports to the proper departments involved.
- Create positive communication chain with client managers to ensure seamless issue resolution and project completion.
- Collaborate with departments to ensure proper planning and execution of each project.
- Maintain and update all project plans to ensure real time accuracy.
- Develop process improvements for all related management of construction projects.
- Communicate regularly with field leadership on project operations and proactively alert leadership to any barriers or issues that will delay project timelines.
Nature and Scope
- Identifying key barriers/core problems and apply solutions in order to deal creatively with complex situations.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex problems. Makes decisions under conditions of uncertainty, sometimes with incomplete information, that produce effective end results.
- Independently perform assignments with instruction limited to the expected results. Determine and develop an approach to solutions, improving and enhancing standard operating procedures.
- Oversee the completion of projects and assignments, including planning, assigning, monitoring and reviewing progress and accuracy of work, evaluating results, etc.
- Manage dozens of large commercial scale paint projects across the country by utilizing our extensive Franchise and Subcontractor networks.
Work Environment
- This is an on-site, in office position located in Lehi, UT. Must be willing to travel to office on a daily basis.
- If not based within travel capabilities, must be willing to relocate.
- Travel will be required up to 15%
- Time commitment: 40 to 60 hours per week depending on seasonal demand
Preferred Traits, Qualifications, Education and Experience
- Travel up to 15%
- Previous experience with project management
- Background with construction software such as PlanGrid and ProCore preferred.
- Ability to read blueprints, construction drawings and other production related material
- Maintain budget, job costing and schedule planning as related to each project
- Must have strong communication skills and integrity
- Starting salary range: $85,000-$110,000 USD Annual
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Dedicated, detail-oriented self-starter
- Experience organizing and running teams
- Background in paint-related work with experience working with and/or for General Contractors desired
