Lead Product Designer

Pair Team is on a mission to connect underserved communities to high quality care as a tech-enabled medical group focused on high-risk Medicaid and Duals patients. Their novel whole-person care model - social, clinical, behavioral - is quarterbacked by a multidisciplinary care team across their network of shelters, food pantries, and other community partners leveraging Arc, their proprietary care management platform. Pair Team is one of the largest providers of a high-needs case management benefit in California and on track to build the country's largest clinically-integrated network of community-based organizations. They have demonstrated an ability to engage a hard to reach patient population and address gaps in care, including a 56% reduction in ED visits and a 26% reduction in hospital admissions.As Lead Designer at Pair Team, you will play a critical role in building a technology-enabled service that improves healthcare access and outcomes for underserved communities. You will own the design roadmap and be the champion of the product experience. You will work on mission-critical products that shape the direction of the company.This is a fully remote position reporting to the Head of Product.What You’ll Do Lead the UI and UX across Pair Team’s entire product experiencePaint the vision for the evolution of the product experience in partnership with product leadership and CEODrive experience exploration for mission critical projectsWork directly with clinicians, mental health specialists, community health workers, and non-profit partners to design best-in-class workflows for whole-person patient careWork alongside our AI team to establish novel patterns on how the latest LLM technology can build a higher quality, more efficient care delivery systemCollaborate with thought partners in engineering, product management, data science, and operations to discover and execute on new product opportunitiesSet the tone for the design team as our Lead Product DesignerWhat You’ll Need 7 years of experience in product design3 years of experience with an early- or mid-stage startupBuilding products where the end users are operations team membersExperience with products that automate or streamline complex workflows, or experience with a digital health startup are a big plus!Strong collaboration skills with thought partners from engineering, product management, data science, and operationsExperience conducting qualitative research (customer interviews) and quantitative analysis to make product decisionsStrong desire to work in an early stage startup environment that is fast paced, complex, and has minimal barriers to make decisions (no “red tape”)Passion for helping individuals experiencing complex chronic needs such as homelessness, severe mental illness, and substance use disorderOwnership mindset – own driving results for the mission, business, and customer experienceOur Values Lead with integrity : We keep our commitments and take responsibility for our actions.
